To keep up with the high demand, the short-term accommodation market has become very competitive. To make things a little harder for owners, online review platforms are also influencing the decision-making process with negative reviews about ‘dated’ properties are having a significant impact on occupancy levels.

Hotel Interiors have found that refurbished properties have remained relatively busy in a very crowded market. While the cost of updating can sometimes be a difficult factor to consider and justify, it is because of this that most refurbishments never happen which keeps the property at the lower end of the market. The time to increase your occupancy levels, daily rates and income to owners has never come at a better time.

The finance enables owners to upgrade their accommodation while the refurbishment provided by Hotel Interiors will provide a sophisticated and aesthetic modern upgrade to your accommodation or hotel.

Through our hotel finance partner’s uncomplicated application and approval process, owners will be able to upgrade their accommodation with an easy repayment plan deducted from the letting income without taking away from your hard-earned capital. Repayment may also be a tax-deductible expense for the owner at the same time. 

Funding Criteria

Our finance partner can provide funding to owners of properties that are purely available for short term accommodation. Funding may be used to cover the required FF&E needed for the refurbishment including kitchen, bathroom and laundryup grades. However, if a property is owned by an individual, a percentage of the funds can only be assigned for ‘non-removables’such as bathrooms and kitchens.

The Process

Application and identification documents, which can be completed online, are processed and nominate the property manager as the agent to collect repayments for your finance via the letting income. Your letting pool will dictate your monthly repayment and if by chance your letting pool decreases, your monthly repayment will be adjusted accordingly. The usual finance term is four years and at the end of that period, repayments will cease from your nominated bank account.
